NHL cheap skater cannot go unnoticed

Ah, there’s nothing like watching a good hockey game to see men beating each other. Sure it’s violent, it’s hockey! That’s why we love it. Then, for some reason, we are shocked when we see hockey players in real life being violent.

What do you expect? It’s hard to separate work from play.

It’s especially hard for our dear friend Patrick Kane.

UFC 101: Redemption means more for many

UFC 101: Redemption, as many UFC fights in the past, is one filled with a solid lineup and featuring several well known fighters responsible for putting mixed martial arts in the mainstream and for the success it has seen.  Even with those fights responsible for UFC’s growth and emergence into popular culture, as with every sport, the athletes do not last forever.

Redemption is a display of some of those fighters who have been around, taken their beatings, rolled with the punches and kept on coming.  Eventually, the beatings do catch up with you and slow you down, and that is the underlying story behind the night. Are B.J. Penn and Forrest Griffin getting old?

High School Musical starlet naked…again

The last time she did it, her movie made $42 million in its opening weekend, the highest gross for a musical debut, ever. High School Musical 3 was the film then, but this time, it’s her latest flick, Bandslam, that may have something to do with her risque repeat offense.

Two years ago made for Vanessa Hudgens’s first nude photo opp and chance to bring her latest film to the top by “gracing” the Internet with her goodies. Now, in 2009, she’s at it again, as more nude photos have surfaced. This time, however, it appears she may have purchased (and used) a razor before snapping any pics.

It’s the Vanessa Hudgens’ scandal 2009/Vanessa Hudgens’ scandal take II.

Big bad boxer to become a woman

He looks like any other buff boxer. He’s got massive shoulders, lean muscle and a bald head almost completely covered in tattoos. He looks tough, rugged, unquestionably masculine. In other words, it wouldn’t surprise you to find out that this man is a 44-year-old British boxer of more than 30 years. But what may surprise you about him is that he’s not planning on being this for much longer. In fact, he’s not planning to be any of this, well, all except the boxing part.

Hypocrisy among the anti-abortion elite

The public healthcare debate is still underway, but another healthcare issue is emerging. This issue is viewed as a “right” by some, and “murder” by others. It’s one of the most controversial aspects of womens’ rights: abortion.

Abortion brings out strong emotions in many people, which which can include violent threats. In the past year alone, we have seen many abortion providers murdered by pro-life activists.

Hypocritical? I’d say so.

Divorce could damage your health

Who thought the age old phrase “died from a broken heart” was ever to be taken literally? I’m talking heart disease, heart failure, heart attack literally. According to some recent studies, this appears to be the case.

We’re all familiar with the feeling of loss and sometimes depression that accompany the separation of a serious relationship, especially a marriage. Even those who’ve never been married have experienced this with boyfriend/girlfriend breakups. They’re never easy. It truly is as if a piece of your heart is ripped, beating and bleeding, from your chest, a feeling you’re not soon to forget.

What comes after the separation stage is the healing stage, and many find themselves feeling incredibly better about life in general a few weeks or months later. However, it appears that this mental protection device may only provide benefits on the surface. The damage has already been done and there may be no turning back the clock with regard to the detrimental health effects.
