26 bad pick-up lines

Pick-up lines have the tendency to be creepy for the most part but are always funny. So the next time you find someone you’re considering to pursue, remember two things. First, try not to be creepy. Second, definitely don’t use the following.

Feel free to add your own!

1. If you think I’m looking at you like a piece of meat it’s because I am.
2. You know, when you and I get old and our son or daughter comes up to me and says “Daddy, how did you meet mommy?” I’m gonna have to tell him or her how quiet you were, or how difficult you were being.”
3. Attacker:Hey baby, what’s your sign? Victim: (appropriate answer) Attacker: Wow! We are the most compatible love signs. (more…)

26 alternative medicine options

Alternative medicine has been around since, well, before it was called alternative medicine. I suppose they probably know what they’re talking about. I’m not saying that it’s always the best option, but these alternative health care remedies tend to work. The main aspect in alternative medicine are herbs. Below is a list of 26 natural remedies and what each can do to help the body.

1. Chamomile- Chamomile relieves stomach issues, fights infection and calms nerves.
2. Aloe Vera- Aloe Vera extract can be ingested to help digestive system issues and also helps boost the immune system. Aloe can also be used topically to help sooth dry skin and help heal cuts and sores.
3. Garlic- Garlic might produce a famously pungent odor that can make you stink, but it also helps reduce cholesterol and the risk of developing blood clots. (more…)

In other ridiculous news…

Watching the news sure can get you down sometimes. I suppose it’s important to know about the swine flu and the state of economy, but there’s so many other interesting things happening that we just never hear about. Here is an account of five recent events that didn’t get as much air time as they may have deserved.

1. Today is Odd Day: And you thought that every day was odd. Today literally is odd day. Today’s date (5/7/09) is one of six dates this century with three consecutive odd numbers. What a cause for celebration. Bust out the champagne! Maybe we’re all not ready to admit to enjoying something this nerdy. I will. I’ll admit it especially if we could have made it be a national holiday where we get to stay home and “celebrate privately.” What’s even more exciting is that Ron Gordon, who is really nobody in particular, is offering a prize. (If you have yet to begin celebrating you better hop on it.) The person or group who celebrates most enthusiastically will get…. $579!! Please contain your excitement!

Hmm… What does a swastika mean again?

People will always hate other people. No matter what you want to think, it’s always going to be a truth in life. It’s been this way since the beginning of time. In some countries people are outright with their hatred and carry it out through genocide or other hate crime atrocities.

Here, in America, we choose to be a bit more secretive and manipulative with our hatred… for the most part at least. We all know of the groups throughout the country that continue with past ideas of hatred that are passed down from generation to generation.

For example, many Southerners continue to fly their Confederate flags high and proud. Now, I can’t say that all people who put their rebel flags up are necessarily racist, but if they aren’t, then I can certainly say that they haven’t thought it through. There are certain symbols that stand for hatred of certain people that cannot be reclaimed for good.

Homemade natural beauty products

There’s a difference between being “thrifty” and being “cheap”… at least I think so. Those who are thrifty are smart and creative with their purchasing habits, while those who are cheap base their spending solely on finances. For most of us, our spending habits have had to change recently. I know mine have. So, I’ve been trying to figure out ways to be “thrifty.”

I’ve been experimenting, making some body products naturally. Here are a few of the basics with which you can edit to your choosing.

Let the summer festivities begin

In honor of the most unbearably hot season of the year, we can welcome many things. Summer brings an excuse to go on vacation, take a few extra trips to the beach, drink margaritas and wear that new swim suit. We’re also welcomed with tons of new summer blockbusters, summer music tours and music festivals.

To many, the thought of attending an outside music festival in the middle of the summer is borderline unbearable. For those that don’t mind traveling, aren’t opposed to profuse sweating and love music, here are a few options for you.

1. Bonnaroo
What to expect: Bonnaroo is a four-day music festival extravaganza. When you buy your ticket, you may as well be purchasing a camping spot (because you’re expected to camp out there.) (more…)

Chuck E. Cheese: A “Monstrous Mouse”?

Has anyone else been hearing about the horrific things happening at Chuck E. Cheese?

It’s not even what you’re expecting. There are no stories of children getting the herpes from the plastic ball pit. There aren’t even any stories about obnoxious children rising in mutiny. But there are tons of weird stories in the news on the Internet about the insanity surrounding Chuck E. Cheese.

The unfortunate thing is that it’s not the kids’ faults. It is their ridiculous family’s faults.
